Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support residential and program facilities. This part-time position involves 30 hours per week across the Marinette trolley property and HUD housing sites in Northeast Wisconsin.

The role includes maintenance requests, preventive checks, grounds upkeep, and coordination with vendors. Travel between sites is required, and a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

  • Two years of building maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Lifting up to 100 pounds and performing physical labor in various environments.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel across the service area.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance requests and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general building repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and property inspections.
  • Maintain grounds, landscaping, curb appeal, and snow removal.
  • Repair and replace doors, windows, fixtures, appliances, and other building components.
  • Monitor building systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
  • Work with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Participate in an emergency on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Ensure properties meet LSS, HUD, WHEDA, local code, and safety standards.
