Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain safety, appearance, and functionality of our residential and program facilities across the Marinette and HUD housing sites in Northeast Wisconsin. The position is part-time (30 hours per week) with travel between sites required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of building maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical labor in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Basic computer skills, including email and online training systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests and repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general building repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and property inspections.
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, curb appeal, and snow removal.
• Repair and replace doors, windows, fixtures, appliances, and other building components.
• Monitor building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Work with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation as assigned.
• Ensure properties meet LSS, HUD, WHEDA, local code, and safety standards.
