Urban Self Storage, Inc. is seeking a dedicated part-time Maintenance Technician to maintain one Yakima location and ensure operations run at peak efficiency.

The role focuses on routine upkeep of storage units, buildings and equipment, while upholding safety and cleanliness standards across the site. The position works Tuesday through Saturday for around 20 hours per week, with responsibilities including responding to maintenance requests, keeping records, and coordinating with the Store

Urban Self Storage is looking for a dedicated part-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team!

As a Maintenance Technician you serve a critical role in providing quality storage solutions by ensuring our location is operating at its best.

**This Part Time position works Tuesday through Saturday for around 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks at one self-storage facility in Yakima
• Conduct repairs & upkeep of storage units, buildings & equipment
• Ensure the property is clean, safe & well-maintained
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests & emergencies
• Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Report daily to Store Manager with progress & pending tasks

Requirements:

• Experience in maintenance work
• Regular use of power tools
• Positive energy with a customer focused attitude & approach
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders & the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing & carpentry work
• Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication & teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of basic computer functions & mobile applications
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of automated gate systems
• Experience with fencing repairs
• Skills to troubleshoot & test security systems
• General skills to replace lock systems & door hardware

Essential Job Functions & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to regularly walk the property to conduct inspections and security checks
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform maintenance-related tasks
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools, including drills and lock-cutting equipment, to perform delinquency enforcement procedures, customer-requested lock removals, and other facility maintenance tasks
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods
• Ability to read computer screens, review digital records, and complete data entry and typing tasks accurately

Compensation:

• $19 to $21 Per Hour
