Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Calumet, IL to maintain and repair a wide range of packaging, processing, and facility equipment. The role supports safe, reliable plant operations and requires flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include routine to preventative maintenance, troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, and collaboration with operators to minimize downtime while ensuring food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Experience with packaging machinery, automated systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Commitment to safety, food quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot production, packaging, material-handling, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Optimize performance of packaging and filling equipment to meet targets.
• Collaborate with operators to improve line performance and coordinate repairs.
• Follow safety, food safety, and quality procedures; document maintenance in CMMS.
