Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Oxford Forge, MI is seeking Maintenance Technicians to ensure the continuous operation and optimal performance of our forging equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and support production teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical (PLC experience a plus), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations relevant to industrial maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions (heat, noise).

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on presses, furnaces, and ancillary equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical (PLC experience a plus), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Install, adjust, and calibrate new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment performance and maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the training of junior maintenance staff when required.

This role involves supporting production operations through both routine maintenance, and emergency repairs of mechanical systems. This individual needs to have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and abilities, with hands on experience in industrial maintenance repair and welding.
