Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related maintenance experience.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler preferred.
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment; hydraulic and pneumatic; troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance.
• Start machines and observe operation to ensure efficiency and detect problems.
• Inspect or test damaged parts and advise on repairs.
• Lubricate or apply materials to machines per procedures.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts per production specs.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using tools/equipment.
• Record production, repair, and maintenance information.
• Read work orders and specs to identify machines requiring maintenance.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls.
• Transport parts, tools and equipment between areas using cranes or dollies.
• Discard worn parts and refuse to maintain clean areas.
• Clean machines and parts using solvents, tools, or air equipment.
