Job summary

Stream Realty Partners, L.P. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in the operation and maintenance of building systems across properties. You will become knowledgeable about engineering responsibilities and provide hands-on support for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Building Operations, Property Management, or a related industry preferred.
• Develop sufficient computer skills to effectively administer required engineering programs.
• Read and understand a variety of instructions, including equipment instruction manuals.
• Understand correct usage of power tools (pneumatic, electric, or engine drive), drill motors, saws, grinders, and impact wrenches.
• Compute basic mathematical equations.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Understand and apply the correct usage of all personal safety equipment.
• Meet the shift working requirements of the assigned property; shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate.
• Knowledge of operating characteristics and parts of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Perform general repairs, maintenance, and replacement of building components.
• Apply basic knowledge and skills in HVAC distribution and controls to adjust and/or take corrective actions to resolve work orders.
• Participate in the water treatment chemical programs established on the property.
• Maintain operation logs and files for central plant operations and other inspections.
• Provide concierge-style customer service to internal and external partners.
• Develop understanding and usage of fire alarms and life safety systems at the property.
• Adhere to Stream and property policies and procedures and safely perform all duties.
• Actively participate in required training activities and seminars.
