Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on a wide range of equipment.
• Repair and overhaul pumps, valves, HVAC systems, and piping as needed.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and aligned with GMPs and SOPs.
• Communicate effectively with system operators and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation.
• Seek opportunities to improve processes and learn new skills.

Job Description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 24+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation of a wide variety of utility and process equipment used in manufacturing and utility plants. The successful candidate will work in a safe, compliant, and timely manner according to planning and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities including: inspections, testing, minor/major equipment overhauls, pump rebuild/replacements, valve rebuild/replacements, HVAC troubleshooting/repair, piping modification/repair, etc
• Complete work in a safe, compliant, and timely manner according to planning and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production while aligning with GMPs, SOPs and company policies and regulations
• Ensure work is appropriately communicated to system operators and key stakeholders
• Ensure work order documentation is completed accurately
• Review maintenance reports, forms, plans and records
• Identify waste, work-flow interrupters, and other opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and assist with implementation
• Identify opportunities to learn new skills and actively participate in development that will improve overall team performance

Requirements

• Associate degree and 2 years of experience OR 2 years in a technical school setting with hands‑on experience OR High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experience
• Mechanical acumen
• HVAC experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Pay range

up to $23.50 per hour
