Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry repairs.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements for healthcare facilities.
• Familiarity with state/local building codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner.
• On-call responsibilities, including after-hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs across the facility (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, equipment).
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors for repairs and projects.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas, equipment, lawns, and grounds.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance calls as required.
• Prioritize work orders and monitor quality and completion of maintenance activities.
• Assist with training and supporting maintenance staff.
• Help manage maintenance records, supplies, and departmental budgets.
• Follow Life Safety Code requirements and local building codes.
