Job summary

SDK Stratford Apartments in Wilmington, DE seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a dedicated team ensuring safety and excellent condition across our community. This full‑time role includes mandatory on‑call and snow removal duties, with the goal of completing service requests within 24 hours whenever possible.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance work, and support unit turnovers.

Qualifications

3–5 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily environments.
EPA/HVAC licenses are a plus.
Skilled in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, drywall repair, and snow removal.
Excellent customer service and follow‑through.
On‑call emergency availability and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair building systems to ensure safety and comfort.
Complete work orders accurately and promptly.
Perform preventive maintenance and unit turnovers.
Install, replace or repair equipment and appliances.
Handle carpentry, tiling and painting tasks as needed.
Be on‑call for after‑hours resident issues and communicate progress to the team.
Maintain thorough maintenance records and coordinate with property staff.
