Job summary

SDK Apartments SM in Budd Lake, NJ is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a full-time role based in the community. You will complete work orders, perform preventive maintenance, handle apartment turnovers, install or repair equipment, and address urgent resident needs.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive building maintenance experience.
• Related licenses strongly preferred.
• Skilled in plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, drywall repair, and snow removal.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Available for on-call emergency services as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work for any employer in the US without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Model behavior aligned with SDK values when interacting with anyone associated with SDK.
• Complete assigned work orders effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure preventive and regularly scheduled maintenance procedures are completed.
• Ensure all procedures related to apartment unit turnovers are completed in a timely manner.
• Install, replace or repair damaged or new equipment and appliances.
• Complete carpentry, tiling and painting as needed.
• Be on-call to address urgent resident matters after regular work hours.
• Aim to resolve service requests within 24 hours, as much as possible, following established work order procedures; communicate progress to the team.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, and work in progress items.
• Collaborate with the property team to maintain a safe community.
• Handle routine grounds and property maintenance, including snow removal.
• Address ad hoc projects as assigned.
