Job summary

Ludwig and Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our 88-unit apartment community in McHenry, IL. You will perform routine repairs, handle make-ready tasks, and address maintenance requests to keep systems in good working order.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and related trades, plus strong customer service and communication skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, with trade certificates preferred and a valid

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Trade school certificates in electrical, plumbing or maintenance preferred.
Solid experience with building systems: HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, painting, carpentry and drywall.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and maintenance across the community.
Complete make-ready repairs and services on schedule.
Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and interiors.
Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
Conduct interior and exterior rounds to check systems, structure, and grounds.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
On-call rotation required.
