Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support HUD apartment buildings, office locations, and program sites across the Milwaukee area, with a primary focus at 7500 N. Granville.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of building and grounds maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform heavy manual labor.
• Valid driver00s license and reliable transportation (MVR check required).

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain property appearance, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (rotating on-call schedule).
• Ensure compliance with HUD, WHEDA, REAC and local codes.
• Monitor vendor work and document activities.
• Assist with unit turnovers and facility inspections.
