SPM, LLC – Village Square Apartments in Russellville, AL is hiring a Maintenance Technician to help keep residents’ homes safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained. This hands-on role requires problem solving, team collaboration, and a commitment to service quality.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with curb appeal and after‑hours on‑call support. Experience and a positive, customer‑facing attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous property maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for exceptional customer service.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of maintaining the community's physical condition, inside and out.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, electrical issues, plumbing, and appliances.
• Complete service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform routine upkeep and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain curb appeal: clean debris, pressure wash exteriors, care for grounds.
• Rotate on-call duties with the maintenance team.
• Keep inventory of parts and materials.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors.
