Job summary

Olympus Property is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Alameda property. You will join the service team to ensure repair and maintenance of facilities and apartment homes meet high standards.

Responsibilities include plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, HVAC preventative maintenance, and use of various tools. The role supports the office team and requires on-site presence with potential emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in commercial, residential, or apartment settings.
• Ability to perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair tasks.
• Comfort with HVAC preventative maintenance and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance requests with knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• Preventative maintenance and diagnosis on HVAC units, replace filters and clean coils.
• Repair and replace kitchen appliances, refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, ovens, and microwaves.
• Minor to moderate plumbing repairs, replacements, and installation.
• Repair or replace sink/shower/toilet fixtures.
• Repair or replace electrical fixtures and switches.
• Lock changes, lockouts, and door hardware replacements.
• Operate various tools and maintain maintenance shop and inventory.
• Track service requests and maintenance work in software systems.
• Assist in maintaining grounds and common areas, including pools.

The Maintenance Technician will work alongside the service team and office teams to ensure that all the repair and maintenance of property facilities and apartment homes meet or exceed standards.

• Perform maintenance requests with knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, etc.
• Preventative maintenance and diagnosis on HVAC units, replacing filters, and cleaning coils
• Repair and replace furnished kitchen appliances, refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers, ovens, and microwaves
• Minor to moderate-level plumbing repairs, replacements, and installation
• Repair or replace sink/shower/toilet fixtures
• Repair or replace electrical fixtures and switches
• Lock changes, lockouts, and replace doors, doorknobs, and lock systems
• Operate various equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Upkeep and organization of maintenance shop and inventory
• Track service requests and maintenance work performed through software systems
• Assist in maintaining the grounds, interior and exterior common areas, and pools
• Work closely with Lead Maintenance Technician on daily and weekly priorities
• Available as needed for emergency maintenance requests

Essential Needs for Olympus Alameda:

• Available Full-time, Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 6 PM (hours may vary slightly)
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial, residential, or apartment Maintenance experience
• EPA/HVAC license
• CPO certification required
• Available for emergencies as needed
