CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Morristown, NJ to maintain small to mid-size buildings and industrial systems. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support installation activities, with responsibilities spanning office moves and light carpentry.

Strong knowledge of MS Office and safe work practices are required. The role supports energy management and ensures compliance with codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsabilités

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Move, assemble, install, and set up office furniture and equipment.
• Perform light carpentry and touch-up work throughout office spaces.
