Maintenance Technician - Night Shift - $29/hr. plus $1.00/hr. Shift Differential

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician based in Springfield, Missouri. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the primary responsibility is to maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience as a Maintenance Technician and familiarity with lean manufacturing are advantages.

What you'll do:

1. Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
2. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
3. Test, locate, and repair electrical circuit and equipment issues; perform electronic equipment troubleshooting; replace broken or defective parts; repair electrical motors, wiring, and devices.
4. Apply knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and electronic equipment.
5. Minimize downtime by informing production workers about routine preventive maintenance requirements.
6. Work effectively within a team environment with minimal supervision.
7. Exercise judgment and initiative within established guidelines.
8. Perform inspections of buildings and equipment as required by regulatory agencies.
9. Assist management in developing new policies and procedures related to employee safety.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Strong mechanical aptitude.
3. At least 3 years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
4. Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
5. Experience with machinery installation and disassembly.
6. Ability to adapt to changing work environments, handle multiple demands, and manage delays or unexpected events calmly and logically.
7. Knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles is preferred.
8. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
9. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
