National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Technician for night shift on a full-time, on-site schedule. If you have mechanical or electrical experience and enjoy hands-on work, this role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, performing preventive maintenance, repairing machinery, and collaborating with management. Must be reliable, able to read and follow safety rules, and able to work evenings.

Qualifications

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines.
• Rebuilding, repairing, and replacing equipment and parts.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Installing equipment and parts.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
• Creating daily activity reports.
• Collaborating with management and other departments on maintenance issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our schedules rotate every four weeks between the following:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – full shift; Thursday – half shift

Friday, Saturday, Sunday – full shift; Thursday – half shift

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems
• Creating daily activity reports
• Collaborationwith management and other departments regarding maintenanceissues throughout the facility
• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Technician Position should possess the following:

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• Electrical
• Industrial Maintenance Experience
• General knowledge of tannery layout

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
