Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
  • Able to climb ladders to elevated platforms and catwalks.
  • Able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods, including on catwalks.
  • Must be able to operate forklift and scissor lift.
  • Must read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams.
  • Must perform tasks safely and maintain GMP/SOP compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain GMP and SOP compliance on the shop floor.
  • Analyze machine errors with operator input to diagnose issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and verify repairs with tests.
  • Read blueprints and electrical drawings to support repairs.
  • Operate forklift to move materials safely around the premises.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean and safe after tasks.

Job Scope:

Maintenance Technicians are to perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to the following: Changing bearings, seals, and shafts, replacing hardware, troubleshooting equipment, performing regular preventative maintenance on all the equipment, reading wire diagrams, wiring motors, and general electrical work. The goal is to be well rounded and familiar with all the equipment on site to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices. (GMP)
  • Follow and comply with machine/facility Standard Operation Procedures. (SOP)
  • Perform all functions in accordance with sound safety practices and procedures.
  • Be familiar with all on-site equipment.
  • Analyze machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Make needed repairs/adjustments to correct machine issues.
  • Test and observe equipment after making repairs/adjustments to verify the issue is corrected completely.
  • Maintain clean work environment after completion of a task.
  • Examine machines and parts in service for damage and defects.
  • Complete assigned preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Be able to perform diagnostic tests with a basic electrical multimeter. (Voltage, Current draw, and Continuity)
  • Perform basic 3-phase and single phase industrial electrical repairs.
  • Read blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Operate a forklift to move material on the premises in a safe professional manner.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, or Management member.
Additional Job Functions:
  • Maintain good standing working relationships with Co-Workers by being a Team Player.
  • Other Duties and Responsibilities as required or assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds routinely. (Up to 50% of shift)
  • Able to climb ladders to perform work from elevated platforms and catwalks. (Up to 50% of shift)
  • Must work in a safe, professional manner always.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods including on a catwalk. (Walking and standing up to 75% of shift)
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds on occasion. (Under 10% of shift)
  • Must be capable of overhead work and manual dexterity for manipulating or moving objects. (Routinely up to 75% of shift)
  • Must be able to climb both stairs and ladders up to a high elevation. (Up to 50% of shift)
  • Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, grasp, squat, reach, and crawl. (Combined up to 75% of shift)
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and scissor lift. (Up to 30% of shift)
  • Must report any accidents, property damage, or near misses to a supervisor immediately.
  • Must have the ability to accept temporary assignment changes to assist other areas of the Plant, maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills to properly communicate with Employees and Supervisors.
