Key Responsibilities/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform maintenance duties such as maintenance of office equipment, computer systems, electrical projects, and light construction.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors on facilities and equipment repairs.
  • Conduct general maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations maintenance for all equipment used in the facility.

Qualifications for the Position:

Education/Training:

  • 1+ year facilities engineering experience
  • High school Diploma or equivalent

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Electrical:

  • Ability to measure voltage and current safely and accurately to troubleshoot circuits.
  • Experience working with 460,220,120 VAC and 24-volt DC circuits.
  • Knowledge of motor starting circuits and power distribution circuits.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and evaluate operations.
  • Ability to read ladder logic, download and upload PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions.
  • Work with control circuits using devices like photoeyes, solenoid valves, limit switches, indicating lights, and safety switches.

Mechanical:

  • Align bearings, shafts, and drives.
  • Adjust tensions of belts and chains.
  • Identify worn or damaged parts and replace them.
  • Develop maintenance schedules based on device requirements.
  • Lubricate, oil, and clean devices as specified.
  • Work with pneumatic circuits involving cylinders and solenoid valves.
  • Maintain printers.

Computer:

  • Analyze and replace cards and chips as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot network (Ethernet) systems.
  • Troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices.
  • Set up and analyze RS232/RS422 communications between computers and peripheral devices.

  • Flexible to meet changing business demands.
  • Understand and promote ICARE principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, employees, and suppliers.

Physical Requirements:

  • 100% standing, bending, lifting, and climbing.
