Job Description

Pay: $35-$40/hr +$2/hr shift differential

Shift: Tuesday - Friday - 5:30pm-5:30am

Location: Pen Argyl, PA

Position: Techo Bloc is on the hunt for their next industrial maintenance technician (electro-mechanic). Our technicians are highly proficient in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and welding.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.
• Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, valves, solenoids, and pumps
• Identify and make hydraulic hoses as needed
• Advanced welding and fabrication skills. Must perform welding in various positions, locations, and weld various types of joints
• Operate shop tools such as band saws, torches, drill presses, grinders
• Install new equipment, align machines using hoists, jacks, and hand tools
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and multimeter/megger
• Size components and cabling for electrical systems
• Read wiring diagrams to trace circuits; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, resistors
• Set up and troubleshoot VFD drives (SEW, Siemens, Lenze, Allen Bradley)
• Handle interference fits and bearing heaters
• Operate equipment for maintenance tasks
• Test machinery, identify parts, and complete repairs
• Repair, install, and dismantle machinery, including working at heights and using mobile equipment
• Document and perform preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 2+ years’ experience in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or relevant field
• Proficient with power tools, measuring devices, lathe, and milling machinery
• Experience with bearing heaters, interference fits, and removing seized bearings/shafts
• Experience with stick and MIG welding
• Ability to fabricate and repair using welding
• Proficient electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams
• Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
• Use of multimeter, megger, and test equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, sensors, SCADA, HMI, PLCs
• Test electrical systems and circuits
• Collaborative spirit

Education and Experience:

• Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)
