Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician in Blackwell, OK. The role involves maintaining and repairing various manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting PLCs, and using SAP maintenance tools to document actions and time.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read schematics. The position requires safety adherence and the ability to work at heights when needed, with a focus on reliability

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/ABB PLCs and AC/DC motors troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools; read schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments, and calibration on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies and call for repairs when needed.
• Use SAP maintenance module to document actions and track time and corrective actions.
• Fabricate parts using machine shop tools and instruments.
• Conserve maintenance resources by efficient use of equipment and materials.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics; uphold safety programs and policies.

What You'll Do

• Performs necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
• Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions
• Fabricates parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment
• Conserves maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Exercise judgment to determine appropriate course of action and prepare business recommendations
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Perform additional duties as needed

What You'll Need

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role required
• Experience with Allen Bradley, ABB, AC/DC motor and/or other PLC troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and business leadership
• Able to perform maintenance/repair at heights or adverse conditions safely including adhering to and following LOTO procedures
• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
• Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
