Job summary

Farbman Group seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day upkeep of residential units and common areas, ensuring a safe, functional living environment for residents. You will handle routine maintenance, turns, preventive tasks, and respond to on-call emergencies as part of a rotating schedule.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, 2–5+ years of maintenance experience, and solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Basic computer skills for work order systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests (work orders) in a timely manner.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (turns/make-readies).
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (on-call rotation).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

  • Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures)
  • Electrical (outlets, lighting, minor wiring)
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (turns/make-readies)
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (on-call rotation)
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school a plus)
• 2–5+ years of maintenance experience (residential or commercial)
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently
• Basic computer skills for work order systems
• Valid driver’s license
