Genera is constructing a commercial scale facility in Vonore, Tennessee, focusing on converting agricultural fibers into pulp and fiber products. We seek a maintenance technician with 5 years of experience for effective maintenance activities, ensuring safe production and quality assurance.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, equipment maintenance experience, and be comfortable working within a team. Safety is paramount, and candidates should be proficient in plant safety protocols.
Genera is constructing a commercial scale facility in Vonore, Tennessee that will convert agricultural fibers into pulp for sale into the market and making molded fiber products such as disposable food containers and other paper products. Performs efficient and effective maintenance activities, in a way that maximizes safe production of quality products, minimizes cost and protects the environment. These tasks are to be performed on a day to day basis following site goals. Level will be determined by skill and ability.
Knowledge of plant safety, environment and good maintenance practices.
Good understanding of equipment process control and plant operating aptitude.
High school education with above average math & communication skills.
5 years plant maintenance experience, certification or equivalent demonstration.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk and/or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch and push or pull on objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require the use of safety equipment and clothing, including eye and hearing protection, hard hats, and respiratory protection and safety shoes. Where noise levels exceed allowable limits, hearing protection is required and provided.
