Job summary

Summit Products, Inc. in Altoona, IA is seeking a self-motivated maintenance technician for a full-time, on-site role. The position focuses on maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, ability to read blueprints, and experience with preventive maintenance programs, ensuring uptime and safe operations across the plant.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience/knowledge
• Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, and independently
• Handle multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude
• Mechanical knowledge
• Electrical skills required
• Technically sound and hands-on in troubleshooting Manufacturing machines
• Experience with PM's (Preventative Maintenance Program)
• Knowledge of steel fabrication a plus
• Ability to read blueprints
• Plumbing experience required
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with other verbally
• Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
• MUST be able to show up to work on time with a positive attitude and willingness to work with a TEAM!!!
