Job description

We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional to help keep our recycling facilities operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this multi-site role, you’ll support assigned plants by troubleshooting equipment issues, partnering with local teams, strengthening preventive maintenance practices, and helping improve uptime on critical recycling equipment. This is a great opportunity for a skilled maintenance technician who enjoys solving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical challenges while making a visible impact across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting support for recycling plant equipment across assigned sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment issues, both on-site and through remote support when appropriate.
  • Support preventive maintenance practices that help reduce unplanned downtime, improve equipment reliability, and extend asset life.
  • Partner with plant leadership, operators, safety teams, and maintenance personnel to improve equipment performance and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Train and coach team members on equipment care, troubleshooting basics, inspections, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues, support root-cause analysis, and help implement practical corrective actions.
  • Support plant and regional projects, including equipment upgrades, maintenance improvements, capital project deployment, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Use performance data, downtime trends, and maintenance observations to recommend improvements and help prioritize work.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by reinforcing safe maintenance practices, lockout/tagout expectations, housekeeping, and hazard awareness.
  • Share best practices across sites to improve consistency, reliability, and accountability throughout the recycling network.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance, plant maintenance, millwright, field service, or related skilled-trades experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, electrical components, motors, sensors, controls, and related plant equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs, downtime reduction, reliability improvements, and equipment repair planning.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple facilities while building strong partnerships with local plant teams.
  • Clear, professional communication skills with operators, maintenance teams, plant managers, vendors, and regional leadership.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred; welding certification is a plus but not required.
  • Project coordination or project management experience preferred, especially with equipment repairs, upgrades, installations, or reliability improvements.
  • Experience in recycling, manufacturing, corrugated, paper, material handling, balers, conveyors, shredders, screens, or similar industrial equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50–75% of the time, sometimes on short notice, to support facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Make a meaningful impact across multiple facilities instead of being limited to one plant.
  • Work on a variety of hands-on troubleshooting, reliability, training, and project support needs.
  • Help influence uptime, safety, maintenance practices, and equipment performance across a regional network.
  • Join a role well suited for a self-directed maintenance professional who enjoys solving tough equipment problems and helping plant teams succeed.

If you’re a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with people across different facilities, we value diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we welcome candidates who are ready to contribute to a safe, reliable, and collaborative operation.
