Maintenance Technician - Monroe 3rd Shift

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00pm-5:30am, with a weekend rotation and OT as required.

Wage: Starting at $28.08/hr (+) shift differentials, experience-based.

Job Summary

This position involves working closely with management, maintenance, and production staff to keep equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient condition. Responsibilities include completing all scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) duties, including tasks in the Master Sanitation Program. Availability for emergency call-ins, weekend hours, and occasional holidays is required. The role demands the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a self-motivated attitude.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled PMs and Master Sanitation Program tasks.
  • Conduct emergency and scheduled repairs on machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records related to PMs and sanitation activities.
  • Coordinate with management and factory personnel to schedule, source parts, and repair equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong listening skills and ability to understand instructions.
  • Initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Teamwork with positive attitude.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including reading SOPs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, electrical systems, including VFDs.
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and process engineering principles.
  • Physical capability to meet role demands, high integrity, personal hygiene per GMPs, dependable attendance.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements
  • Moderately strenuous activities including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work environment is fast-paced, clean, often cool and wet, with moderate noise and chemical exposure.
