ESFM seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician - MEP in Buckeye, AZ. This role supports facility engineering and maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, with field leadership and quality assurance responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has four years of skilled trade training, five years as a maintenance tech in institutional settings, and two years as a licensed Journeyman. Shifts include 1st, 2nd and 3rd, located at 24105 West Southern Avenue, Buckeye.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in decisions on repairs and reports major problems to supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Cleans, services, repairs or diagnoses HVAC and building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other team members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and creates punch lists.
• Reports on and repairs discrepancies as assigned.
• Analyzes and fixes complex building system problems, solo or in a team.
• Maintains logs, does rounds and completes work orders and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for preventive maintenance improvements.

• 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Friday - Tuesday
• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

• 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Friday - Tuesday
• Requirement: 3 years of prior maintenance experience is required.
• Pay Range: $28.00 per hour to $35.00 per hour

Job Summary

Performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance functions, while providing field leadership, ensuring quality assurance, supporting training efforts, and managing escalations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on all normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other equipment.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar specialty equipment items with appropriate training, certification skills and licensing requirements as needed.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complicated detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
• Reports on and repairs discrepancies as assigned.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Serves as a member of facility emergency response team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

One of the following is preferred

• Master license in one trade or two of the following Journeyman Electrical License or Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver's license.
