Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience in machinery and building maintenance.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or construction preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in electronics and pneumatics is a plus.
• Must know basic troubleshooting using manuals and schematics to diagnose problems and repairs.
• Flexibility to work during off hours and/or weekends.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Good organizational skills such as record keeping and following directions.
• Able to work well with others as a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs general facilities preventative maintenance, including greasing bearings, changing oil, tensioning and lubricating chains, replacing worn parts, and making adjustments to correct malfunctions.
• Coordinates with production staff to minimize disruption of the production schedule.
• Keeps records of completed work.
• Works in a cold damp environment (Meat Processing Plant is 40 degrees).
