Universal Pure is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facilities and production, ensuring readiness of equipment and adherence to safety standards. The role involves electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace electrical and mechanical components (AC/DC controls, sensors, relays, motors).
• Repair and maintain high‑pressure pasteurization equipment.
• Inspect and service mechanical components (motors, conveyors, bearings, belts).
• Inspect and service pneumatic systems (hydraulics, air compressors, pumps).
• Conduct preventative maintenance on conveyors, HVAC, water heaters, pumps, and fans.
• Adhere to document control policies and safety standards.

Brief Description: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the following, including but not limited to facilities maintenance, Powered Industrial Equipment, and stationery equipment. The Maintenance Technician collaborates with the Production to ensure the equipment is ready to go.

This position works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment such as controls, proximity sensors, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, and timers.
• Repair and maintain high-pressure pasteurization equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as hydronic and hydraulic seals, high pressure components, air compressors, pumps, hoses and cylinders.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, water heaters, HVAC, water pumps, heat exchangers, evaporators, fans and powered industrial equipment.
• Adherence to the facility’s Document Control Policy following completion of training.
• Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
• Handle any minor tasks related to the duties of the position

Additional Responsibilities

• On-call ability as needed
• Provides report information to the leadership team

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience
• Welding Experience preferred but not required
• Must have flexibility with work schedule and job duties when the location environment changes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (speak, read, and write)
• Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline.

Working Conditions

• Within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures.
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
• The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Work may involve potential exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
