Job summary

John F. Martin Newmanstown Facility is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician to service material handling equipment and warehouse facilities at our Newmanstown distribution center.

You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs to keep forklifts and related systems moving safely. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in mechanical repair, understands hydraulics and 24V/36V/48V electrical systems, and can tackle facility tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical repair, specifically with material handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, 24V/36V/48V electrical systems, and diagnostic software.
• Versatility to pivot from equipment repair to facility maintenance as needed.
• Commitment to workplace safety and supporting the operational team.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Repair: Perform diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and related equipment.
• Battery & Electrical Management: Manage battery watering, charger troubleshooting, and electrical component replacements.
• Facility Maintenance: Handle general building repairs including dock plates, lighting, and minor carpentry/plumbing.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure equipment meets OSHA standards and document services.
• Parts Management: Monitor inventory for wear-and-tear parts to minimize downtime.
