CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a large hospital campus in Marble Falls, TX. You will support the Engineering and Technical Services team with proactive maintenance and repairs of building systems to ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety and comfort.

The role involves troubleshooting HVAC, boilers and chillers, building repairs, plumbing, electrical work and responding to service requests. A rotating on-call schedule and travel to local sites are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
  • Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders and lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Good communication to exchange straightforward information.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, replace components and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, boilers and chillers.
  • Repair interior and exterior building elements including doors, drywall, painting and surface touch-ups.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems including sinks, toilets, drains and leaks.
  • Perform light electrical work such as circuit troubleshooting and lighting installation/upgrade.
  • Handle work orders: estimate time/materials, track progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Inspect mechanical, electrical and installed equipment for performance and code compliance.
  • Respond to critical service requests and on-call maintenance on rotating schedule.

About The Role

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of a large-scale hospital campus in Marble Falls, Tx. You will serve as a key member of our Engineering and Technical Services team, responsible for the proactive maintenance, repair, and technical support of building systems and infrastructure. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform troubleshooting, component replacement, and preventive maintenance on HVAC units, boilers, and chillers.
  • Execute interior and exterior building repairs, including door hardware maintenance, drywall patching, painting, and architectural surface touch-ups.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing infrastructure, including the installation and repair of sinks and toilets, drain cleaning, and addressing system leaks.
  • Conduct light electrical repairs, including circuit troubleshooting, ballast replacement and the installation or upgrading of lighting fixtures.
  • Execute assigned work orders with precision. Estimate necessary time and materials, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform routine inspections on mechanical, electrical, and installed building equipment to verify performance and adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to critical service requests and emergency maintenance tickets to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately 1 week every 5-6 weeks), which will require travel to local sites as needed.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
