Job summary

Zobele by kdc/one in Garland, TX is seeking a Maintenance Utilities Technician to support critical plant systems on the night shift. The role focuses on operating, inspecting, and maintaining boiler, HVAC, chilled water, and utility systems to ensure continuous production and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently on night shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain plant utility systems to ensure safe and uninterrupted production.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on boilers, HVAC, chillers, glycol systems.
• Support facility systems including electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, and building maintenance.
• Respond to emergency repairs and document maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to improve reliability, uptime, and energy efficiency.
• Follow safety, environmental, and company procedures.

Zobele by kdc/one is a global leader in product development and manufacturing for top Home & Personal Care FMCG companies. Due to continued growth, our Garland, TX manufacturing site is seeking a Maintenance Utilities Technician to support critical plant systems on night shift.

Shift Schedule (Night Shift – Crew 4)

• Wednesday: 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Thursday–Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Consistent nights | 12‑hour shifts | manufacturing environment

What You’ll Do

• Operate, inspect, and maintain plant utility systems to ensure safe and uninterrupted production
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on:
• Boilers & steam systems
• HVAC
• Compressed air (oil‑free preferred)
• Chillers, cooling towers & glycol systems
• Support facility systems including electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, and general building maintenance
• Respond to emergency repairs and document all maintenance activities
• Partner with operations and engineering to improve reliability, uptime, and energy efficiency
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 2–4 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge
• Ability to work independently on night shift

Preferred:

• Experience with boiler operation, HVAC, chillers, glycol systems
• Technical certification or trade training (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Boiler or utilities‑specific training a plus
