The Maintenance Technician would be in charge of performing maintenance such as s inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
* Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
* Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
* Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
* Electrical repairs to include trouble shooting. Repairs dealing with high and low voltage.
Qualifications and Skills:
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing / plant maintenance.
* Steel stamping and forming- a plus.
* Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic experience
* Experience in a trade school is a plus
* Ability to lift and handle 50 pounds for certain positions
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
