We currently have an exciting opportunity for a mechanical Maintenance Technician. This role is based in our facility in Lawton, OK and will work 12 hour shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am on a 2, 2, 3 continental shift schedule. This position is budgeted at $30.58/hour (plus $1.00/hr shift diff for nights).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced individual who will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and overhaul of mechanical systems used in the extrusion production of PVC pipes. This position will focus primarily on the general upkeep, repair, preventative maintenance and safe operation of the facility and the industrial equipment operating within.

Principal Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot problem equipment as assigned by manager/supervisor
• Perform necessary repairs, installations and preventative maintenance to keep facilities & all production lines operating
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, lubricated, filters replaced, etc.
• Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality
• Perform essential change overs and startups as scheduled
• Proactively inform management if equipment is unsafe to operate, needs repair or requires replacement

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred; technical school is an asset
• Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical troubleshooting skills are required. Welding experience is considered an asset
• Experience working with extrusion machines or equipment is an asset
• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills
• Must provide own safety boots and preferably own basic hand tools
• Available to work 12-hour continental night shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am with an average of 42 hours per week

Working Conditions

• Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs
