Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Assistant / Maintenance Specialist:

• Ensure that the property is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
• Assist the Director of Building Operations with the maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and other equipment.
• Assist with room readiness, including painting, carpet cleaning, and minor plumbing and electrical fixes.

Qualifications of a Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Assistant / Maintenance Specialist:

• Prefer someone with a strong background in painting, drywall repair, and texturing.
• Must be detail-oriented and produce quality results.
• Must be knowledgeable and capable of self-teaching to properly use tools associated with preventative maintenance and repairs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer six months experience in building maintenance, painting/remodeling, or janitorial work.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation with an emphasis on understanding processes and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with seniors, their families, and staff in a caring, compassionate manner.
• Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Work Environment:

• Active hands-on role within our senior living community.
• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
