Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in South Bend, IN is seeking a Maintenance Crafts to perform preventive maintenance on machinery, install and maintain equipment, troubleshoot line issues and repair electrical problems, while ensuring safety rules are followed. This full-time role requires relocation before starting work to the South Bend area.

The candidate should have experience with general plumbing, sheetmetal or 80/20 experience is a plus, and must be capable of working overtime and assisting coworkers

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, including PPE use.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery.
• General plumbing (air and water).
• Use problem-solving skills to identify and repair production line issues.
• Work overtime as required.
• Assist co-workers in areas outside their direct responsibility.
• Maintain the building as directed.
• Install and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Machine parts, when necessary (Lathe, Bridgeport, etc.).
• Troubleshoot line issues and monitor line logistics for signs of problems.
• Repair electrical problems in the building and production lines.
• Fabricate guards, chutes and other parts when necessary (Sheetmetal and 80/20 experience a plus).
