Job summary

Auria is seeking a Maintenance Technician- Machine Repair Tech for our plant in St. Clair, MI.

This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement across the production floor. You will lead maintenance efforts, coach Apprentices, and ensure safety and adherence to plant rules while applying your expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine control systems.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, three-phase power systems, HVAC, cooling water systems, and machine control systems.
• Formal education in industrial machine repair and maintenance preferred.
• Basic fabrication skills including welding and metal fabrication machinery operation.
• Ability to read and comprehend machine prints and schematics; attend required training; high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes lead in troubleshooting and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility structures to support operations.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment according to prescribed schedules.
• Assist in developing process improvement projects to support plant operations.
• Perform fabrication projects to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and transfer knowledge to Apprentice I-IV level maintenance employees.
• Adhere to plant rules and maintain a positive attitude toward job and coworkers.

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician- Machine Repair Tech to join our team at our plant in St. Clair, Mi.

What you will do:

• Assumes lead in troubleshooting and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility structures to support the operation of the facility and the production processes.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment according to prescribed schedules and procedures.
• Assist in developing process improvement projects in support of the plant operations.
• Perform fabrication projects as necessary to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist, coach, and teach Apprentice I-IV level maintenance employees to pass on essential knowledge and skills to these employees.
• Adhere to all plant rules and regulations.
• Maintains a positive attitude towards the job and coworkers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• In–depth knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, three-phase power systems, HVAC, and cooling water systems operation and maintenance, and machine control systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair these systems.
• Formal education in industrial machine repair and maintenance preferred.
• Basic fabrication skills to include, but not limited to, stick and wire welding, metal fabrication machinery operation (e.g., lathe, mill, drilling operations, etc.), and understanding and ability to perform industrial machining, fabrication, and welding.
• Ability to read and comprehend machine prints and schematics.
• Attend and comprehend all training as deemed necessary by plant management.
• Applicants must have and provide proof of their high school diploma or GED.
