Job summary

Auria is seeking a Maintenance Journeyman for its Fremont, OH plant to support operation and production processes through preventive and reactive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, HVAC, and related equipment, mentoring Apprentice levels and improving processes as needed. Open interviews Thursdays; Andrea Cook listed for details.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, three-phase power systems, HVAC, and cooling water systems operation and maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair these systems.
• Formal education in industrial machine repair and maintenance including state-issued journeyman card titled “Industrial Maintenance”.
• Basic fabrication skills including stick and wire welding and operation of fabrication machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assumes lead in troubleshooting and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility structures to support the operation of the facility and the production processes.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment according to prescribed schedules and procedures.
• Assist in developing process improvement projects in support of the plant operations.
• Perform fabrication projects as necessary to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist, coach, and teach Apprentice I‑IV level maintenance employees to pass on essential knowledge and skills to these employees.
• Adhere to all plant rules and regulations.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards the job and coworkers.

What you will do:

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• In–depth knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, three‑phase power systems, HVAC, and cooling water systems operation and maintenance, and machine control systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair these systems.
• Formal education in industrial machine repair and maintenance including state‑issued journeymen card titled “Industrial Maintenance”.
• Basic fabrication skills to include, but not limited to, stick and wire welding, metal fabrication machinery operation (i.e., lathe, mill, drilling operations, etc.), and understanding and ability to perform industrial machining, fabrication, and welding.
• Ability to read and comprehend machine prints and schematics.
• Attend and comprehend all training as deemed necessary by the plant management.
• Applicants must have and provide proof of their journeyman’s card and high school diploma/GED.
