Related Management Company's Fifteen Fifty in San Francisco is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our building in top condition. You’ll handle repairs, prepare apartments for new residents, and support the team with HVAC fixes and special projects.

Bring 2+ years in general maintenance, luxury high-rise housing experience preferred, and skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance care. EPA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years general maintenance experience.
  • Luxury high-rise housing experience preferred.
  • HVAC: repairs, cleans, replacements; EPA certification preferred.
  • Plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and appliance knowledge.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders and day-to-day repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
  • Keep building systems clean, code-compliant, and well maintained.
  • Get apartments ready for move-ins and move-outs; perform touch-ups and inspections.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain inventory, tools, and shared spaces; support renovations and special projects.
  • Respond quickly to service requests and assist Resident Manager when needed.
  • Represent the building professionally and communicate with residents post-repair.

Responsibilities

Help Keep Our Community Running Smoothly We’re looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fifteen Fifty in San Francisco and help keep our building in top shape. In this role, you’ll handle repairs, prepare apartments for new residents, and support our team with everything from HVAC fixes to setting up special projects. Compensation
  • $27 - $29 / hour
  • with an annual bonus that is tied to performance
Schedule
  • Friday - Tuesday 11:00AM - 7:30PM
  • Days Off: Wednesday - Thursday
What You’ll Do
General Maintenance & Repairs
  • Complete work orders and handle day‑to‑day repairs in , plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
  • Keep building systems clean, code‑compliant, and well maintained
Apartment Readiness & Inspections
  • Get apartments ready for move‑ins and move‑outs
  • Complete repairs, touch‑ups, lock changes, and inspections to make sure units are move‑in ready
Preventive Maintenance & Safety
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety checks
  • Track recurring issues and make sure all systems run safely and efficiently
  • Follow and model safety protocols
Building & Grounds Upkeep
  • Maintain inventory, tools, and storage spaces
  • Clean and inspect shared spaces like gyms, rooftops, pools, and basements
  • Make smart decisions when choosing between repairing or replacing equipment
Resident & Team Support
  • Respond quickly and professionally to service requests
  • Cover for the Resident Manager when needed and assist with walkthroughs
  • Mentor junior maintenance team members and help create a strong team environment
Special Projects
  • Support renovations, new tool testing, and energy‑saving projects
  • Help install and maintain new technology like leak sensors or smart thermostats
Brand & Resident Experience
  • Represent the building with a clean, professional appearance
  • Communicate clearly with residents and follow up after repairs
  • Provide in‑unit orientations and support a high standard of service
Qualifications
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance
  • Luxury high‑rise housing experience preferred
  • HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces, etc.
    • EPA Certification preferred
  • Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation
  • Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
  • Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
  • Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, etc.
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • General knowledge of using a computer and computer systems.
  • Must able to lift 50LBS and stand for 8 hours
