Related Management Company in Washington, DC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep properties in top condition. You will handle service requests, interact with residents, and ensure systems are well maintained, with on-site responsibilities and on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance/facilities experience, affordable housing preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Available for emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Committed to exceptional resident service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential work to keep properties in great shape.
• Complete service requests promptly, interact with residents, and keep systems in good order.
• Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established timeframes.
• Inspect mechanical systems and grounds; address safety issues with management.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance with supervisor.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in site preparation for inspections.
• Maintain safety policies, including current COVID-19 standards.
• Rotate on-call responsibilities for emergency repairs.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Maintenance Technician

• Perform essential work to keep our properties in great shape
• Complete service requests in a timely manner, interact with residents, and keep your property’s systems in good working order
• Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established time frame.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; immediately address safety issues with management.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with supervisor.
• Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to prepare site for inspections.
• Maintain workplace safety policies and standards, including current COVID-19 standards.
• Rotating on-call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs.

Compensation

• $27-28 / hour
• with an annual bonus that is tied to performance
