Job summary

PATRIOTS COLONY in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility operations, perform routine repairs and assist with renovations.

Under the Director of Maintenance, you will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, and coordinate with other departments. On-call and 12-hour shifts may apply.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, trade training, and maintenance experience; EPA refrigerant certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Trade training in HVAC, plumbing or electrical preferred.
• 2 years maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills to complete online training.
• EPA CFC/HCFC refrigerant certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license; may drive RHS vehicle 25%+.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry tasks.
• Assist with renovations to rooms and apartments.
• Work with other departments on special assignments.
• On-call coverage and emergency 12-hour shifts as needed.
• Maintain a safe work area and comply with codes and standards.

Williamsburg, VirginiaHiring Range$18.90 - $24.60/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewWorks under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance. Performs basic electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry work. Responsible for the installation, maintenance ( preventive and corrective) troubleshooting and repair of facility buildings and equipment. Renovations to rooms and apartments. Work with other departments on special assignments. Subject to on-call coverage, shift changes and emergency 12 hour shifts (i.e. snow removal, hurricane clean up, etc. ). Snow removal/storm clean-up includes, but is not limited to shoveling and cleaning of entranceways, walkways and parking lots of snow, ice and/or debris. Assists with the clean-up of spills. Must be able to work for residents in independent living and assisted living.What you will doAssists co-workers with the care of their customers; addresses customer's needs regardless of assignment. Assists others to complete tasks when necessary.
