Job summary

Cornerstone Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform upkeep of building, fixtures, and residential spaces. This full-time, hourly position runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with on-call, weekend, and overtime as needed, offering $21–$23 per hour.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, repairing appliances, plumbing and HVAC, and preventative maintenance to ensure high occupancy and resident satisfaction. Strong communication and valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of general residential maintenance experience for LIHTC properties.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation, maintain auto insurance, and have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-call as scheduled and weekends/after hours as necessary.
• Must pass background and drug screen.
• HVAC Certification
• EPA Certified.

• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery safely and per procedures.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties to support property operations.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and other duties to ensure the preservation and upkeep of the building, fixtures, and residential spaces.

Classification and Compensation

Full-time, Hourly/Non-Exempt. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. $21-$23 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant rental units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and air conditioning/heating/electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary and pre-approved by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery in a safe manner and in compliance with safety procedures.
• Complete grounds work, such as grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties as requested to support property operations.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years’ general residential maintenance experience for LIHTC property.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
