Job summary

National Beef Packing of Liberal, Kansas is seeking qualified maintenance professionals to join our Maintenance Team. Experience in food production, electrical or ammonia/refrigeration is preferred. Training available to become proficient as a Maintenance Technician.

Starting wage for maintenance positions is $23.55 per hour, with benefits including health coverage, paid vacation and holidays, and an employee meat purchase program. This is an on-site, safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail.
• Exemplary safety record and reliable punctuality.
• Willingness to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines.
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
• Creating daily activity reports.
• Collaborating with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues.

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions

• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduledAbility to read, write and speak English preferred
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The Following Experience Is Preferred But Not Required

• Ammonia/Refrigeration systems
• Electrical
• Food processing
• General knowledge of plant layout and production floor equipment and processes

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
