Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Commerce, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 3 to join our onsite team. The role covers multiple trades and requires reading blueprints and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on complex CNC machines (3- and 5-axis milling, and various lathes).

You will document maintenance activities in CMMS, adhere to OSHA safety standards (Lockout/Tagout applicable), and support forklift, scissor lift, and JLG operations while working a flexible

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years in manufacturing as an Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial maintenance technician or millwright.
• No security clearance required to start.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of vacuum, electrical, hydraulic, cooling and pressure systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance across multiple trades including millwright, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on CNCs (3- and 5-axis milling; horizontal and vertical lathes).
• Document maintenance activities using CMMS; track work orders and parts usage.
• Operate forklift, scissor lift, and JLG equipment.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 3 to join our team in Commerce, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct work within multiple maintenance trades including millwright, electrician, plumber, and carpenter.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Provide preventative and correct maintenance on various complex CNCs: 3 and 5-axis milling, horizontal and vertical lathes.
• Adhere to all OSHA regulatory and safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately document maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage.
• Forklift, scissor lift, and JLG operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience in the manufacturing industry as an Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial maintenance technician or millwright.
• No clearance required to start.
• Must have general knowledge of CNC machinery maintenance and repairs.
• Solid understanding vacuum, electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and pressure systems.
• Familiarity with PLC’s/HMI’s.
• Candidate must be able to work a flexible shift to include overtime hours.
• Must be able to lift over 50lbs., climb ladders, operate a forklift, and work at height.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience working as an industrial maintenance technician.
• An associate’s degree, licensed Journeyman or master tradesman, or journeyman level Automated Maintenance Technician Program.
• Proficient and knowledgeable in 3-phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring and troubleshooting of such systems including 24 VDC to 480 VAC systems.
• Certifications or demonstrated competency repairing complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry.
• Experience with building maintenance management systems (CMMS/CAFM), including L2L and work order tracking.

Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $61,100.00 - $101,800.00
