Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Maintenance Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, for the support and operation of multiple buildings and systems.
Our maintenance technicians are the proactive front line of facilities by way of inspection and survey to identify problems before they impact operations. Under direction of management, the maintenance technician is expected to perform a variety of tasks, use sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and must be able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance deficiencies to prescribed standards. This person must be self-motivated, team-oriented, while also able to operate independently. The ideal candidate is capable of creativity and latitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and professional face-to-face communication skills. Candidates must also be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with industry and company standards. A successful maintenance technician must accept accountability and ownership of the site while being able to provide on-call support. Additional responsibilities include supporting weather events, addressing equipment failure or other disasters including equipment and power failures, loss of contracted services, storms or severe weather, schedule conflicts, and other duties as required.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Primary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00 - $104,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
