Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring an industrial mechanic to perform planned and unplanned repairs on production equipment, conveyors, and sortation systems. You will assist with installations, read technical manuals, and ensure accurate CMMS data entries.

A solid background in AC/DC systems and voltage meters is preferred. The role requires 1+ year of experience with industrial mechanical and electrical systems, blueprints comprehension, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment
• Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment
• Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter
• Assist team leaders and contractors to perform installations of new or replacement equipment
• Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as electrical, lighting, HVAC, & conveyor systems
• Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repair data
• Read technical manuals and document changes

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training
• 1 year or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems
• 1 year or more experience with conveyor, automation and sortation system repair
• Read and comprehend technical manuals
• Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
• Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC
• Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds
