Job summary

Monoflo International, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment across the facility. This role includes remote support, vendor coordination, and parts purchasing to boost production utilization.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis to reduce downtime, hydraulic/pneumatic/servo diagnostics, and reading schematics and blueprints. You will train operators and assist with safety and maintenance programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in maintenance with plastic injection molding machines.
  • Proficient in diagnosing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience reading schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to analyze data to improve utilization.
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal.
  • Independent decision making with sound judgement.
  • Willingness to provide remote after-hours support.
  • Experience coordinating parts purchases and vendor visits.

  • Operate forklift, crane and lifts as needed.

Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing injection molding machines, robots, auxiliary equipment, and other equipment throughout the facility. This includes providing remote support to technicians, contacting with vendors, and coordinating parts purchases to achieve target utilization in production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reduce production downtime through the use of efficient and effective root cause analysis, demonstrating critical thinking skills and the ability to find information
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, servo controls
  • Read pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints
  • Monitor and maintain machine performance to achieve KPIs for utilization
  • Schedule machine and equipment PM / repairs within the production schedule
  • Contact and coordinate vendor visits for machine and facility needs
  • Work directly with facility service vendors on scheduled frequencies
  • Perform building maintenance tasks as needed
  • Issue requisitions and receive PO at completion of service
  • Maintain asset inventory and work history in MRP
  • Open and identify parts received to packing slip following receiving processes
  • Quote, order, and stock all machine and facility parts
  • Coordinate returns of incorrect parts, warranty parts, and parts for rebuild
  • Evaluate and follow up on work orders submitted by production
  • Perform hazard assessments and repair findings
  • Provide process and maintenance after-hour / weekend support to production
  • Navigate equipment controllers for machines, robots, and other equipment
  • Troubleshoot molding process parameters causing molding defects
  • Train production technicians in processing, machine controls, and automation
  • Utilize equipment manuals to diagnose and maintain equipment
  • Operate forklift, crane, and aerial lifts within the production space
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Maintenance working with plastic injection molding machines
  • Knowledge of injection molding machine processes and parameters
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and use of various tools to locate information
  • Experience diagnosing fluid systems (hydraulic and air)
  • Utilize computers and data systems to compile/analyze information
  • Clear verbal and written communication required
  • Attention to detail with adequate sense of urgency to improve utilization
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgement
  • Availability to provide remote support after-hour and weekends
