Job summary

Cedarbrook Health & Rehab is seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility safe, functional, and welcoming. This full-time role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related systems, with a focus on proactive troubleshooting and timely repairs.

You will support daily operations, lift up to 50 lbs, and use basic computer tools to document work orders. A team-oriented mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance or related experience.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• General knowledge of building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and related areas.
• Troubleshoot and fix building systems to prevent issues.
• Respond to emergency repairs with urgency and precision.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for major projects.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and keep supplies stocked.
