Job Description

Purpose

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.

Independently perform Senior level support within the maintenance department. Trains lower-level Technicians on more advanced tasks. Drives technical, safety, and process improvement efforts using a variety of industry methods.

Responsibilities

List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.

• Adhere to Abbvie’s code of conduct
• Strong understanding of and able to identify different types of metals and plastics
• Able to read measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• 3D printing
• Familiar with Solidworks, 360 Fusion, Autocad, etc. software
• Ability toread and create blueprints and drawings
• Milling and turning of metals and plastics
• CNC machining
• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Works closely with Department Reliability Engineering regarding; Maintenance Program development, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis.May facilitate various workshops.
• Considered an SME (subject matter expert) in advanced skilled trade disciplines
• Contributes to developing and delivering technical training modules, OJT's, etc.
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or College degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5+ years of work experience related to skilled trades or other relevant technical degree.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired.
• Proficient user of Abbvie’s CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and intermediate skills with MS Windows.
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e., machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).
• In some Abbvie Maintenance organizations, electrical skills and knowledge is required.
